Once you have the requirements mentioned above, you can proceed to installing the plugin. There are 2 ways to install the plugin:
- By uploading the plugin file using WordPress’s dashboard
- By uploading the plugin’s folder over FTP
Installing via WordPress
Once you have extracted the downloaded zip file, you will have a folder named “ADFW”. The content of the folder are as follows:
- adfw-setup.zip (file)
- Readme.txt (file)
- Documentation.pdf (files)
- Licensing (folder)
Login to your WordPress account, and click on the “Plugins” menu on left. On this page, click the “Add New” button on top of the screen. Now, choose “Upload Plugin” on top. You will be able to upload a file. Click “Choose File” and select the “adfw-setup.zip” file in the plugin’s folder. Click “Install Now” to upload and install the plugin.
After the uploading has finished, you will be able to activate the plugin.
Installation via FTP
If for some reasons you are not able to install as stated above ( for example, unable to upload files ) you can use your hosting panel to install the plugin. Extract the “adfw-setup.zip” file anywhere you would like, which creates a folder named “adfw“. You need to upload this folder to your website’s plugins folder. You can use a free ftp client such as FileZilla client to do so. If your hosting provider has a file manager, you can upload the “adfw-setup.zip” file directly and use their file manager to extract the file. The default path of WordPress’s plugins directory is
"/wp-contents/plugins“. Once done, you can head back to WordPress’s plugin menu and activate your plugin.
After activation, plugin will setup some default settings for you. Before using the plugin, you need to activate it. To do this, click the “ADFW” menu item on the left menu. You will be redirected to the activation screen that allows you to enter the activation code that you downloaded from Envato market. Click the submit button, and if the code is valid, your copy of the plugin will be activated and ready to use.
Please notice that you can only use a license on a single domain. You can change the registered domain every 30 days. To do so, simply try to activate the plugin on another domain using the same key, which registers the new domain and deactivates the current domain.
